The Full Story
We are not your average spa, we actually like being different. After 16 years in the esthetics industry, we've seen so many things! Many trends, a lack of policies, high end services, low end services, services in other countries.. All of this to say that it was all information gathering for what we envisioned our spa becoming.
Education
In 2011, I completed my spa technician program, launching me into the spa world. Why is this important to note? Estheticians work in a deregulated industry, and BC chose to go this route the same year I attended school. The top things we value are transparency, education, and communication. If there's an online course, a blog to follow, an in person event to register for, or a connection to be made, we pursue it! We believe that clear communication is respectful and kind. While we may occasionally ask you to adjust your appointments, we also welcome you to shift with respectful notice. If we are running ahead of or behind schedule, we will reach out to you, and we love when you do the same. This brings me to my next point, I am human and have some unique quirks. I have ADHD and am prone to migraines; if you can relate, you'll appreciate the energy or sympathize if I'm feeling the effects. This isn't something I use as an excuse; I take my business and my clients very seriously and have developed many systems to keep things in check. However, on rare occasions, I may need to prioritize my health, or we might share a laugh about it!
Our space
Rituale Olistica and Spa is situated in a secure building in Upper Gibsons, protected by a buzz code that you'll receive upon booking. We have proudly served this location for over 8 years. While it may be a bit challenging to find on your first visit, we assure you that once you get accustomed to the area, you'll appreciate the privacy we offer. Our practice operates with a solo practitioner and a virtual assistant named Hayley, who manages our support email and assists us behind the scenes. She's a real person, not an AI, so please be respectful! Since we are solo and often fully booked, response during business hours may be slower to ensure my clients receive my full attention. If you prefer a bustling spa/salon environment with a full-time receptionist, we may not be the right fit for you, and that's perfectly fine. Please note that we are located on the second floor, but an elevator is available for those who need assistance. We proudly welcome the 2SLGBTQ+ community and do not tolerate hate speech, or political discussions in our space.
